According to the person who uploaded the video on Youtube, Mansur a Nigerian student in Malaysia had an argument with a bike rider and before he knew what was going on, about seven other men had joined the bike rider to assault him. The beatings were quiet much as they were seen kicking him severally and using all sorts of weapons including a nightstick and helmet on him. He was just helpless and when police officers came, the man, Mansur was eventually handcuffed and was still assaulted again right in front of the police officers, with two of them looking away.

A 63-year-old man has died during a flight from Nigeria to New York's JFK after vomiting profusely - but it was only a 'cursory' exam by the CDC that confirmed he did not have Ebola.

The passenger boarded an Arik Air plane out of Lagos, Nigeria, on Wednesday night, but passed away before the plane reached its final destination.

Flight attendants called the CDC, Port Authority and customs officials, who then boarded the plane as it touched down, forcing 145 worried passengers to remain on board. 

The authorities then conducted tests on the body and it was only a short evaluation that suggested he did not have the deadly virus, prompting concerns there are still 'vulnerabilities' at airports.

According to The New York Post , the unidentified man's body was then handed over to the Port Authority who removed it from the plane, with the CDC allegedly providing little information on how to deal with the remains.

Throughout the ordeal, the door connecting the aircraft to the terminal was left open, prompting worries from Republican Congressman Peter King that there are not enough checks in place before reaching the screening process.

The German FA announced the news of his scan results on their website after Ozil missed training ahead of their upcoming European Qualifiers against Poland and the Republic of Ireland.
A statement on the DFB website read: "The MRI examination today at National Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt in Munich revealed a partial rupture of the outer band of the left knee joint.

"The treatment is conservative, with six weeks of immobilisation of the knee joint. Mesut Ozil is likely to be (out for) 10 to 12 weeks."
The midfielder played the full game on Sunday as Arsenal were beaten 2-0 at Chelsea - the sixth time in six Premier League starts he has completed all 90 minutes.
The news comes as a further blow to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger whose squad has already been depleted with injuries to Olivier Giroud, Mathieu Debuchy, Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta and Theo Walcott.

Popular news and entertainment site, Linda Ikeji Blog, was taken down Wednesday by tech firm, Google, after a row over the originality of the blog’s contents.
Linda Ikeji Blog, published on Google-owned Blogger, has grown to become one of the most visited websites in Nigeria.
The site mainly aggregates and republishes news items and entertainment bits sourced from other channels, although it occasionally publishes exclusive contents.
Its publisher, Linda Ikeji, has emerged one of the most successful online entrepreneurs in Nigeria and has been rated amongst Nigeria’s most influential young women.
Lately, the site has been hit by multiple allegations of plagiarism with critics allegedly prodding Google to suspend the blog. The tech firm disallows plagiarism on its platforms.
Ms. Ikeji denies lifting materials without proper attribution.
On Tuesday, Ms. Ikeji said the site came under attack by her competitors driven by envy over her success.
The claims followed allegations of plagiarism by the publisher of another blog, 15Past8, known by the name Aye Dee. Details of the controversial work are not clear.
But on Tuesday, Ms. Ikeji dismissed the allegation in an article, saying she cited sources in all published materials.
Ms. Ikeji said Mr. Dee and other tech-savvy publishers were out to have her website suspended by Google, angered by her success and her recent acquisition of a N24million SUV.
Ms. Ikeji did not respond to our inquiries Wednesday.
She however told her readers via her twitter handle @lindaikeji: “Linda Ikeji Blog will be back in a bit…biko bear with me…:-)”.
At 9:50 P.M. on Wednesday, she announced that she was trying to get a new site for her blog.
“Oh wow! Thanks guys for all the love and support. I’m overwhelmed. Trying to get a new site…please bear with me. Long live LIB. Kisses,” she tweeted.
Google could not be immediately reached also. An official who responded to our call denied knowledge of the suspension of the website.

ARSENAL

Danny Welbeck has shown signs of improvement but can still be frustrating - his fine hat-trick against Galatasaray was the highlight. Jury is still out on reserve keeper David Ospina.

ASTON VILLA

There were plenty of doom merchants before the season about Villa's chances but everyone has been pleasantly surprised.

Their summer signings weren't eye-catching but they do make for a solid team. Colombian Carlos Sanchez is slowly getting up to speed with the pace of the Premier League, while Aly Cissokho is looking better than he did at Liverpool.

Philippe Senderos has looked reliable at the heart of the defence while Tom Cleverley has shown the odd sign he can put his Manchester United nightmare behind him.

Burnley 

Michael Kightly's move took time to go through but he looks like a good acquisition and broke the scoring drought at Leicester.

Matthew Gilks will be an understudy, while Matt Taylor has suffered an achilles injury and has not played since August. Marvin Sordell has not had a regular run of starts and has yet to open his account, while defender Steven Reid has barely featured.

CHELSEA

Diego Costa has come in and looked as though he's been playing in England for a decade, with an incredible run of nine goals in seven Premier League matches so far.

Cesc Fabregas is worth every penny of his £30m transfer fee. Filipe Luis has struggled to get into the side for league games, while the returning Didier Drogba is likely to spend most of the season on the bench as expected.

Loic Remy looks set to be in Costa's shadow too - but has opened his account.

CRYSTAL PALACE

Tony Pulis was so frustrated with Palace's lack of ambition in the transfer market that he left the club on the eve of the season. 

The Eagles, therefore, must be satisfied and relieved to be sitting 15th after seven games.

Eventually nine players moved to Selhurst Park in the summer, including club-record signing James McArthur.

He and Wilfried Zaha - who, like manager Neil Warnock - has returned for a second spell in south London - have both made decent starts to the campaign, as has two-goal striker Fraizer Campbell, a summer arrival from Cardiff. 

Most importantly of all, no key players left in the summer. 

EVERTON

It's been a disappointing start to the season for Everton and none of their summer signings have set the world on fire.

Romelu Lukau, so prolific last season, looks burdened by the responsibility of being the main man. Gareth Barry has done the important things with the minimum of fuss while Muhamed Besic looks like he could flourish.

HULL CITY

The Tigers spent unprecedented sums of money over the summer as they prepared for another Premier League season and a first run in Europe, which ended prematurely.

On the evidence of the season so far, Steve Bruce spent wisely, with Andrew Robertson looking a real gem and Mohamed Diame scoring three goals in four matches since arriving from West Ham.

Michael Dawson ended a nine-year stay at Tottenham Hotspur to bolster Hull's defence

Abel Hernandez has scored two goals so far, while Jake Livermore has continued to impress his manager.

Others, such as Hatem Ben Arfa, Michael Dawson and Gaston Ramirez could well impress when they settle into the team.

LEICESTER CITY

Newly-promoted Leicester didn't feel the need to spend big over the summer but they have acquired wisely.

Leonardo Ulloa, brought in from Brighton, has been excellent, scoring five goals so far and producing some eye-catching performances.

Esteban Cambiasso, 34, has rolled back the years with his passing and even hit the target in that incredible comeback against Manchester United. Full back Danny Simpson is waiting for a chance.

LIVERPOOL

After coming so close last season, Liverpool spent nearly £120m in strengthening over the close season, but the results have been mixed.

Adam Lallana, the most expensive buy at £25m, was very unfortunate with his injury but the signs have been encouraging since he returned last month. Alberto Moreno has also looked promising and scored in the 3-0 win at Tottenham.

MANCHESTER CITY

A quieter summer than usual at the Etihad, but still a substantial amount of money was splurged on new signings.

Eliaquim Mangala cost a cool £32million from Porto and – despite a nightmare at Hull – has all the tools required to be the powerful central defender alongside Vincent Kompany the Premier League champions have craved, as he showed on his debut against Chelsea.

Bacary Sagna is unlikely to dislodge Pablo Zabaleta at right back, although Fernando could become the main man in midfield given time. And Frank Lampard has shown he still has his eye for goal.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Wounded by a disastrous last campaign, United have broken the bank to try and restore them to the pinnacle of the Premier League.

Many have argued they have brought in too many attacking players and their defence certainly looks shaky.

Results are starting to pick up for Louis van Gaal's team, however. Angel di Maria has been absolutely exceptional, scoring and setting up goals, while Radamel Falcao got off the mark against Everton.

Ander Herrera looked classy in his passing before suffering a fractured rib, while Daley Blind has settled in straight away. The defenders Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo have something to prove yet.

NEWCASTLE

Graham Carr was at it again. Newcastle splashed out around £35million over the summer and on European players who may or may not find their feet in England.

Remy Cabella, seen as the real blockbuster, has barely made any impact yet, while Emmanuel Riviere looks disinterested and incapable of mixing it up front.

Siem de Jong showed promise early on before suffering with injury, while Karl Darlow and Jamaal Lascelles both returned to Nottingham Forest on loan immediately after signing.

Jack Colback has probably been the standout thus far. He was free from Sunderland.

QPR

Harry Redknapp has been labelled a wheeler and dealer, but value for money appears to have gone out of the window at QPR.

A raft of new men have come in for big money but not improving the Championship play-off winners nearly enough.

See £6m for Jordon Mutch. What about £8.5m for Steven Caulker? Not forgetting £8m on Leroy Fer. All three were relegated last season.

Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is the club’s most progressive purchase but can’t get a look in thanks to Rob Green. Then there’s Rio Ferdinand.

SOUTHAMPTON 

The Ronald Koeman era has been brought in serenely at St Mary’s. Yes, they’ve had plenty of money to spend with Liverpool’s incessant need to buy the Saints spine, but they’ve parted with that cash very wisely indeed.

Graziano Pelle has all the attributes to become a real handful for Premier League defences, Dusan Tadic is a box of tricks and they’ve found themselves a solid goalkeeper in Fraser Forster.

They’ve got away from signing big names – Gaston Ramirez and Dani Osvaldo spring to mind – and are steadily building a side that should comfortably finish in the top half.

Shane Long at £12m has been the only real disappointment. The less said about Saphir Taider – who left the club almost before he arrived - the better.

STOKE CITY

Bojan Krkic! At the Britannia! The new poster boy for a club (extremely unfairly) characterised as long-ball merchants.

Unfortunately, it’s not working out. The former wonderkid has more than a touch of Freddy Adu about him and hasn’t come anywhere near to living up to his teenage potential.

They are third in their Champions League group after two draws, including holding Chelsea 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.

American boxer Floyd Mayweather picked up almost $2million betting on the NFL in the last three weeks, after staking an astonishing $940,000 (£580,000) on two games.

Mayweather, the world's highest paid sportsman, walked away with $1,825,714.28 (£1,130,000) after successfully betting on both the Seattle Seahawks and the Indianapolis Colts to win by more than seven points.

The Colts, led by quarterback Andrew Luck, beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 44-17 on September 21 before Seattle saw off Washington Redskins 27-17 on Monday.

Dallas Weekly magazine publishes horribly ill-timed cover promoting a 'Taste of Africa' as first US Ebola case diagnosed in Texas

A Texas magazine has published a cover emblazoned with the words 'Taste Of Africa Comes To Dallas!' - just days before a Liberian man became America's first Ebola case in the state.

The unfortunate Dallas Weekly front cover, published online on September 25, featured a map of Africa over a Texas flag with the attention-grabbing headline.

The ill-timed cover was designed and published prior to the news last week that Liberian national Thomas Duncan, who arrived in Texas on September 20, had become the first person to be diagnosed with Ebola on American soil.

However the magazine's Twitter account continued to tweet pictures of the front cover as late as October 3. 

The publication is described as the 'No.1 serving the African-American community' in the North Texas area and has been in circulation for more than 55 years.

Tragedy - Dimeji Bankole loses daughter to sickle cell disease

Tragedy struck on Wednesday at the home of the former Speaker of the Federal House of Representative, Rt. Hon Dimeji Bankole when the former number four citozen lost his first child, Semiat Yewande Bankole to Sickle Cell Disease.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday by the family in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, the girl died on Nigeria’s Independence Day, Wednesday 1 October in London.
“With gratitude to Almighty Allah and with heavy hearts, we announce the demise of our daughter Yewande Semiat Bankole, aged 6 years, at St Mary’s Children’s Hospital, London on October 1,2014,” the statement read.
The late Yewande was said to have been born with HbSS Sickle cell disease.
“She was a radiant girl who struggled with the disease and her condition was originally managed at a Lagos hospital, but she was later transferred to a London hospital where she eventually died”.
While stating that her remains would be buried according to Islamic rites, the Bankole family requested the prayers of all at this time of immense grief and profound shock.

Newcastle- Tiote defends decision to have two wives AND a mistress...

Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote has defended his lifestyle by claiming there is nothing unusual about having two wives and a mistress.

Tiote, who earns £45,000-a-week at Premier League outfit Newcastle United, reportedly wed Laeticia Doukrou in a traditional ceremony this month, despite already being married to first wife Madah, 25.

The 28-year-old, who currently lives with Madah and their two children in a £1.5million mansion in Ponteland near Newcastle, also has a one-year-old child with mistress Nikki Mpofu.

Jean Musampa said: 'I can say that he did get married and that it is his second marriage.

'This is nothing unusual. He is a Muslim.' 

The footballer, who can have four wives under Islamic law, is also said to have insisted to friends that having several partners is commonplace in his native Ivory Coast.

A source told The Sun: ‘He doesn’t see a problem with having two wives.

‘It’s perfectly acceptable in his culture. He doesn’t see he has done anything wrong and doesn’t know what the fuss is all about.’

It is reported that his 33-year-old Zimbabwean mistress Ms Mpofu recently ended her three-year affair with the footballer after he allegedly promised to make her his wife. 

The Sun reported that she was ‘comfortable’ with him being married but decided to call the relationship off because he ‘used me like a mop’.

She was pictured earlier this week leaving a Waitrose store in Ponteland, Newcastle, with her and Tiote’s son Rafael.

Tiote was spotted a day earlier leaving his home in the same village with his first wife Madah, who is said to have forgiven him for marrying another woman.

Newcastle United were not available for comment.

Tiote received interest from Lokomotiv Moscow during the summer and was thought to be keen on a move to Russia.

He remained on Tyneside after Lokomotiv failed to make an acceptable offer but his contract is set to expire in 2016.

In October 2013 Tiote was lucky to avoid prison after admitting to possessing a fake driving licence, for which he was given a seven-month suspended sentence and 180 hours of unpaid community work.

Judge James Goss said Tiote, 27, avoided jail only because he pleaded guilty and added: ‘I have no doubt that, using your considerable talent, you will be able to assist others in the community by encouraging them and passing on your skills that way.’ 

The Ivorian had to be called back to court after prosecutors forgot he should have been banned from driving after accumulating 12 points.

DAN GOOSSEN PASSES AWAY DUE TO LIVER CANCER COMPLICATIONS..
