Jealous hubby stabbed his wife 15 times..

A husband has been jailed for 17 years after he killed his wife by stabbing her at least 15 times then running her over with his car because he thought she was having an affair with a neighbour. Minta Adiddo sent Akua Agyeman a Christmas card as she was being treated in hospital, blaming the attack on 'devils', the Old Bailey heard.
The 32-year-old mother of two died two months after the brutal stabbing, which was witnessed by her five-year-old daughter.
Adiddo, 38, was today given a life sentence after being convicted of murder, with a minimum term of 17 years.

The Sainsbury's worker from Enfield, North London, had pleaded guilty to manslaughter, although he denied murder.
The court heard he suspected his wife was having an affair with their neighbour Oledapo Etti-Williams in October 2012.
Mr Etti-Williams denied it, but said they exchanged three to four 'sometimes flirtatious' texts a day - and phone records showed they had sometimes sent as many as 80 messages in one day.
On November 5, Adiddo stabbed his wife with a large kitchen knife in their bedroom while their one-year-old daughter slept in a cot next to them.

Ms Agyeman managed to escape through the living room window, waking neighbours with her screams.
But her husband chased her down and stabbed her again in the street as she lay on the ground, leaving her with 15 separate stab wounds.
When he realised she still wasn't dead he got in his car and tried to run her over, almost ploughing into shocked witnesses who were tending to her.
Ms Agyeman's last words as she lay injured were to ask if her children were all right.

She fought for her life in hospital for nearly two months, but she was so badly injured that she would have been permanently paralysed if she had survived.
Adiddo fled the scene but was arrested after police spotted him driving his car shortly the next day still wearing his blood-stained shirt.
In a phone call to a relative he admitted stabbing his wife and said he planned to kill himself before police caught up with him.
When Ms Agyeman was in the the Royal London Hospital, Adiddo sent her a Christmas card ascribing his behaviour to 'Satan' and 'devils'.
'I know the devil used Williams to destroy our family,' he wrote. 'Please, please, please, I need forgiveness from you - open yourself to God.'
In victim impact statements read to the court, Ms Agyeman's family said the 'vibrant, sociable and intelligent' 32-year-old was 'irreplaceable.'
The judge heard her relatives in Ghana were now struggling financially without her support.
They said they had accepted Adiddo as a son and treated him with respect and dignity 'but all he has done is inflict pain and suffering on our family'.
The court heard her two daughters are now being cared for by relatives but the family are 'forever saddened' she won't get to see them grow up.
Sentencing, judge Brian Barker QC said: 'I accept this was not a planned killing but was done out of frustration and temper, and in my view was cowardly and selfish.
'This was a shocking waste of a vibrant life and loss of a mother which will be long felt.
'I was moved by the words of her family who described Akua as a loving sister, caring for her children and extended family in Ghana, and providing financially for them.
'They feel betrayed by your actions and find it very difficult to move on. There is nothing we can do or say to turn back the clock but she will not be forgotten.'

Boy, 3, Murdered After He Wet The Bed

A man has been found guilty of murdering his partner's three-year-old nephew after the child wet the bed they were sharing.
Ben Igbinedion, 44, inflicted "catastrophic" injuries upon Daniel Evbuomwan that were so severe they were likened to those caused by a car crash.
Igbinedion, of Bromley, south London, had put Daniel back to sleep in a different bed but when family members tried to wake him in the morning he did not respond.
The youngster suffered multiple injuries to his ribs and multiple fractures to his pelvis.
They were described by Professor Anthony Risdon, who carried out a post-mortem examination as "among the most severe he had seen".
Daniel had been living with his grandmother Rosemary since earlier this year and was in normal physical health but all that dramatically changed when he went to stay with Igbinedion and his family in March, the court heard.
Daniel's grandmother had wanted to go shopping and to church so it was decided he should stay with his aunt Sandra Okundaye, a nurse, and her partner Igbinedion, jurors were told.
Ms Okundaye was away working that night and Igbinedion was left in charge of looking after Daniel and his three children, the trial heard.
At bedtime, Igbinedion stated that Daniel and his youngest son should sleep in his room, while the other children slept in their own room, it was claimed.
In the early hours of the morning on March 2, one of the children was woken by Igbinedion telling off Daniel for wetting the bed, the court heard.
Giving his own evidence, Igbinedion told the court that he treated the boy as if he was his own son.
Igbinedion claimed he woke Daniel up at 5.30am to use the toilet, before returning the boy to the children's bedroom and turning the light off.
He accepted the youngster had been well during the day but could not explain what happened.
Daniel's cousins had tried to wake the boy but after several attempts he slumped from the bed to the floor.
He was taken to University Hospital in Lewisham, south east London, where he was pronounced dead at 11.25am.
Igbinedion, who denied murder but was convicted at the Old Bailey, is due to be sentenced on November 27.

Irma and her husband, who are both ethnic Mazatecs and do not speak Spanish, could not understand much of what the staffer were telling them beyond the word 'no,' so they went outside. Addressing the controversy later, the nurses blamed the incident on the language barrier and claimed that they did not have enough staff on hand..

Madonna: 'I was raped on a rooftop in New York'

Pop superstar MADONNA has revealed she was raped on a rooftop in New York within months of arriving in the city as a wannabe.

The Material Girl moved to the Big Apple from Michigan in 1977 to pursue a music career, but the city was far more dangerous than the singer thought it would be, and in an article she has written for Harper's Bazaar, Madonna details some of her scariest encounters.
She writes, "New York wasn't everything I thought it would be. It did not welcome me with open arms.
"The first year, I was held up at gunpoint. Raped on the roof of a building I was dragged up to with a knife in my back, and had my apartment broken into three times. I don't know why; I had nothing of value after they took my radio the first time."
Despite the terrifying ordeals, Madonna stayed in the city and insists the encounters helped make her strong and independent.
She continues, "I was poised for survival. I felt alive. But I was also scared s**tless..."
"I was defiant. Hell-bent on surviving. On making it. But it was hard and it was lonely, and I had to dare myself every day to keep going."

$250 million worth of cocaine found on Air France flight

French Interior Minister Manuel Valls looks at cocaine seized bty French Police

CARACAS (AFP) - Three members of Venezuela's security forces were arrested in connection with the 1.3 tonnes of cocaine French police found aboard an Air France flight that originated in Caracas, a top cabinet minister said.
Intelligence agents "have detained a first lieutenant from the anti-drug unit of the Bolivarian National Guard" along with two National Guard sergeants, Justice and Interior Minister Miguel Rodriguez told state network VTV.
"These are the first arrests," Rodriguez said.
French police on September 11 seized a record haul of 1.3 tonnes of cocaine found on board a Paris-bound Air France passenger plane.
A source close to the French investigation said that the cocaine, which was packed into 30 suitcases, had a street value of some 200 million euros ($270 million).
According to Rodriguez, it is "nearly evident" that there were accomplices working with the airline.
"How can the cocaine shipment reach France and it gets taken out without going through the normal controls?" he asked.
Over the next few days agents will scrutinize footage taken from security cameras at the Simon Bolivar International Airport and interrogate personnel that work in the airport luggage area, he said.
Rodriguez, who is also head of the country's intelligence service, said that he assigned a special team of prosecutors to the probe.
French Interior Minister Manuel Valls, who announced the seizure on Saturday, told reporters that "several members of a criminal organization" had been arrested.
Cocaine comes from coca leaves grown in countries like Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. Venezuela does not produce cocaine, according to United Nations monitors, but drug traffickers are increasingly using its territory to smuggle drugs into other nations.
